Christ Church Heaton has a strong choral tradition. Throughout the history of the church our choir, led by the organists and choirmasters listed below, have led the worship at Christ Church skillfully and reverently earning the choir a reputation second to none throughout churches of all demoninations in the borough.
Highlights in the musical calendar include the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols in December, the Advent Carol Service held at the Parish Church and the Easter Day Anthems. Our four-part choir are not only wheeled out on special occasions. They are an ever-present part of church life, leading our worship at the 11:15am Sung Eucharist once a month and our 6:30pm Choral Evensong services on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month.
The Choir are always looking for new faces and you will be made very welcome. Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings at 7:45pm in the Choir Vestry. For more information please contact our organist and choirmaster Mr. John Balshaw on 01204 840472.
